Bookseller Lightning Talks

ABA's Bookseller Lightning Talks series features booksellers presenting 5-10 minute talks on tech tools, organizational strategies, communication methods, or innovations they’ve made in their stores. Each presentation will be followed by time for Q&A and discussion. Lightning Talks take place on the second Thursday of every month.

The May 9 meeting will feature:

Emergency Drag Story Time Security Webinar: Best Practices, Case Studies, and Challenges

In recent weeks, booksellers around the country have been targeted by bomb threats and other threads of violence because they host drag story time events. Some have been targeted before, and some are being targeted for the first time. This webinar offers a chance to hear from booksellers who have dealt with threats in the recent past (and have before), experts from the Drag Story Hour team, and a crisis management expert.
